Okay, at first I thought this was one of those “National Poetry Anthology” emails, you know, where your poem (whether you write poems or not) “was hand picked out of MILLIONS of entries to be included in this year’s leather-bound collection of the best of American poetry, and for only $59.99….”
Not that I’m bitter about THAT…
but moving on…
I recieved an invite today to attend a “Portland Blogger Meet-Up” at KATU TV later this month (see invite below). Before quitting my job and ordering business cards (this time) I checked it out online and, sure enough, it’s legit!
They did something similar in Seattle, and it was a pretty big success.
So it looks like I’ll go (free food and all) and check it out.
Should be fun…maybe I’ll take my 2004 National Poetry Anthology, that always seems to impress ‘em!
