Hey all,

If you’ve been reading the one redeeming factor of the Portland Oregonian (besides the comics, and the NYT Crosswords) you may have come across Margie Boule’s recent columns regarding Billie Sieg, the BPOE (Elks Lodge), and excluding visitors from “Christian” organizations.

For more background on this series, check out Margie’s webpage.

In a nutshell, 80-year old [...]

Kid Quotes

Okay,
As a stay-at-home dad of a 7mo-old, I haven’t heard a lot of “quote-ables” from my own kid yet (tho’ I’m sure I will) but I also happen to baby-sit for our Ladies Bible Study every Monday morning, and you’d be amazed what a four little kids can come up with in a two hour period.
I’ve learned to just [...]

Free Photo Software: Picasa

Hey all,
I know that many of you are digital-photo geeks (like me), so I thought you might want to check out the blog-post I wrote for the FreeColorPrinters blog this week.
Free Photo Software: Picasa
Picasa is a free software download from Google that lets you do all kinds of cool stuff (which I’ve outlined in that [...]

Okay, so my favorite food is sandwices, basically meat and bread (this, IMHO includes gyros, soft-tacos, ect) and I’ve been buying my turkey and roast-beef at my local deli for years.
Nestled beside my beloved “buffalo deli chicken” is this odd-looking loaf titled, “headcheese.”

Do me a favor…

Okay,

How sad is this…

I just did a bunch of upgrades and added “clustermap” to my PerryPerkinsBooks website and I’m asking everyone who reads this post to jump over there (via this link) so I get more “little red dots” on my map!

Feel free to blast me for it here, lol.

Our wives spend the week-end rolling their eyes to Cleavland.

As [...]

Poopy diapers rock!

Hey all,
I get a lot of teasing as a stay-at-home-dad…jokes about the sleep deprivation, preparing bottles, and dealing with poopy diapers. (FYI…It’s okay, tease away, I’m happy to laugh about it…)
I had a chance to reflect on this, this week, when an old friend of mine emailed me, congratulating us on the recently posted pictures [...]

New Gracie Pics

Okay, so it’s been a while.

Here are some recent favorites…

A great pic taken by her Uncle Dan.

Lovin’ them sweet taters.

Kickin’ back with Momma.

Another “when babies attack shot“, bitin’ Strawberry Dolly “directly in the buttocks…”

And, lastly, for those of you who insist that she looks like her daddy (see Mommy’s pic here) I will give you [...]

Hey everyone,
Last week I had to do something I hate doing, something I’m not particularly good at, something I probably don’t do often enough…I had to apologize.
I misread a review of one of my novels and, in a fit of self-righteous pique; I posted a response on the reviewer’s blog, stating in no uncertain terms what I [...]
