Christmas Cards for American Soldiers

Hey all,

When you’re making out your Christmas card list this year, please consider including
the following:
A Recovering American soldier
c/o Walter Reed Army Medical Center
6900 Georgia Avenue,NW
Washington , D.C. 20307-5001

Toss in a prayer, a little note, maybe even a comic strip or just something to make it personal.

These men and woman have given up a lot for us!

If you approve of the idea, please pass it on to your e-mail list (or send them here) and let’s brighten a soldier’s Christmas.

Way to photoshop your picture into the nativity scene!

  2. Wow – I hadn’t noticed, but I guess that DOES sort of look like me…

Although, I’d have kicked the crap out of someone and gotten my wife a room at the inn… probably wouldn’t have made as good a Bible verse tho’

“And Lo Joseph kicked the stuffing out of a complete stranger to get Mary a room…”

Works for me, but you’re right it just doesn’t have that “Love thy Neighbor feel…

  4. “And Lo Joseph kicked the stuffing out of a complete stranger to get Mary a room…”

Dude, I’m going to laugh all day over that!

  5. Wow, Photo shop Perry as Joseph, but how did he get Pastor Doug in the manger.

  6. Okay ???,

As much as that made me chuckle, you need to dig deep, find a pair, and tell us who you are.

I have two good guesses, but neither of these guys are the type to hide behind “???”

Be brave, Doug hasn’t shot anything he couldn’t eat…yet.

    Hey everyone…

I have some friends that have just come back from W.R. and they did get cards and said that everyone really loves them.

It is a very hard thing for a soldier to be “less then his best” they feel broken in more then one way. Not to mention that a soldiers worth in the Military is based on “What they do and can do right now” They are faced with redefining themselves and changing their possible goals in life.

If you have time, it is a great thing to do. (and I like Cash in my Christmas cards) Oh, wait. Did I type that?

    Happy Holidays.
